From 14 to 19 May 2022 a series of “One hour Human Chain” were organised at Regional Chapters of Bangladesh Health Watch demanding increase of allocation for health sector in national budget 2022. BHW, Regional Chapters’ Host organisations and District Health Rights Forums jointly organised the human chains.
Prominent civil society members, like minded CSOs, Youth volunteers, health service providers attended the programmes demonstrating with banners, placards etc. The demands were based on the findings and recommendations of online Pre-budget National Dialogue on Health Budget organised jointly by Bangladesh Health Watch and Unnayan Samannay on 12 May 2022. Moreover, delegations of District Health Rights Forum at Barguna, Chapainawabganj, Manikganj, Kurigram and Sunamganj districts handed over memorandums to respective District Commissioners regarding their demands.
