BHW Secretariat has been formed with the professionals to carry out the activities as per the approved plan. The secretariat is the hub of all activities and performs under the guidance of the Working Group and is housed within JPGSPH premises. The Program Director is leading the secretariat with the support of five other full-time members. The Convener of the BHW and the Project Adviser provide support for the overall performance of the secretariat.

Dr. Yasmin H Ahmed is an independent consultant who has more than 30 years of experience in public health, especially reproductive health. During these years, she has worked in research, led the development and expansion of a national NGO, and as Vice President of an international NGO, led the growth and development of 16 country programs in Asia and the Asia Pacific. Her work as a consultant has involved strategic planning, project development, project/program evaluation in public and NGO sectors.

Mahruba Khanam, is a public health professional and a PhD fellow in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Antwerp, Belgium. She holds MSc in Public Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) Antwerp, Belgium; an Advanced Diploma in Health Care Management in Tropical Countries from Switzerland; and a Master of Social Science (Sociology) from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. Prior to joining BHW, Ms. Khanam worked with the Medical Sociology Department of the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), Department of Public Health and Informatics, BSMMU, and the Centre for Injury Prevention and Research Bangladesh (CIPRB). Having worked within the Govt. & NGO health sectors for over 12 years, she developed a wide range of skills in research and programs of child safety and reproductive health. Her expertise concentrates on health system research, both qualitative and quantitative, Injury prevention, Child drowning, ECD, and livelihood development. Project Management and Process, Capacity Building and Stewardship. She is serving as the focal person of Research of Bangladesh Health Watch.

Mr. Rajesh Adhikary has 20 years of extensive experience in different local and international organizations. Prior to joining BHW, He worked with The Hunger Project Bangladesh, and Transparency International Bangladesh. He has completed his Master's in Governance Studies (MGS) from the Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka.

Mr. Morshed Alam has 16 years of extensive experiences from different local and international organisations. Prior to joining in BHW, He worked with Bangladesh Freedom Foundation, UNDP Bangladesh, Development Research Network (D.Net) etc. He has completed his Master's in Governance Studies (MGS) from Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka.

Ms. Noushin Mouli Waresi has completed M.A in ELT (English Language Teaching) from the University of Dhaka. She worked in different print media in different positions for five years. Prior to joining Bangladesh Health Watch, she worked as Sr. Sub-Editor, Central Desk, and In-Charge of International Business Desk at The Business Post.

Dr. Imrul Mohammad Sifat is a dedicated public health professional with experience in research, project management, and the development of strategic health programmes. Originally trained as a dentist, Dr. Sifat transitioned into the public health sector to address systemic health challenges through data-driven approaches. He is passionate about blending research and advocacy to drive impactful change, particularly in health and climate resilience, and is committed to empowering communities for a healthier, sustainable future. Dr. Sifat leads research activities, including methodology design, data collection, analysis, and reporting. With a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research, he has trained volunteers across Bangladesh. He is also responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) frameworks to assess project performance and impact.
