BHW Secretariat has been formed with the professionals to carry out the activities as per the approved plan. The secretariat is the hub of all activities and performs under the guidance of the Working Group and Project Steering Committee and is now housed within JPGSPH premises. The Program Director is leading the Secretariat with the support of ten other full-time members. An Adviser is providing support and the Convener of the WG is leading the overall performance of the secretariat.

Dr. Yasmin H Ahmed is an independent consultant who has more than 30 years of experience in public health, especially reproductive health. During these years, she has worked in research, led the development and expansion of a national NGO, and as Vice President of an international NGO, led the growth and development of 16 country programs in Asia and the Asia Pacific. Her work as a consultant has involved strategic planning, project development, project/program evaluation in public and NGO sectors.

Mahruba Khanam, is a public health professional and a PhD fellow in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Antwerp, Belgium. She holds MSc in Public Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) Antwerp, Belgium; an Advanced Diploma in Health Care Management in Tropical Countries from Switzerland; and a Master of Social Science (Sociology) from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. Prior to joining BHW, Ms. Khanam worked with the Medical Sociology Department of the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), Department of Public Health and Informatics, BSMMU, and the Centre for Injury Prevention and Research Bangladesh (CIPRB). Having worked within the Govt. & NGO health sectors for over 12 years, she developed a wide range of skills in research and programs of child safety and reproductive health. Her expertise concentrates on health system research, both qualitative and quantitative, Injury prevention, Child drowning, ECD, and livelihood development. Project Management and Process, Capacity Building and Stewardship. She is serving as the focal person of Research of Bangladesh Health Watch.

Asma Akter joined as a Coordinator – Field Coordination in Bangladesh Health Watch from 20 th March ,2022. She has more than 16 years working experience in International Organization like Save the Children, Project Concern International PCI, Helen Keller International HKI, WorldFish Bangladesh, CARE Bangladesh and Abt Associates Inc. in different capacities both Direct delivery and Partnership Program within Bangladesh.
Coordinator, Advocacy and Communications, Bangladesh Health Watch
Md. Riaz Uddin Khan has started the journey as the Coordinator – Advocacy and Communications with Bangladesh Health Watch (BHW) from 01 September 2022. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of development and communications. He has completed education from the University of Dhaka in Mass Communication and Journalism. He has the carrier of working with Mass-line Media Center (MMC) for promotion of grass-roots journalism and community media, CARE Bangladesh in training, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) for Civic Engagement in anti-corruption social movement. Worked for UNDP Bangladesh in Knowledge Management and Communication. He led participatory action research component of the Child Labour: Action-Research-Innovation in South and South-Eastern Asia (CLARISSA) project of IDS Sussex implemented by Switzerland based Terre Des Hommes Foundation in Bangladesh. As a freelance consultant he has the experience of working with USAID, UNDP, ILO, SAARC Trade Union Council (SARTUC), IUCN, Plan Bangladesh, NETZ Bangladesh, HEKS-EPER Switzerland, Koinonia, Save the Children, Christian Aid, International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC), GIZ, HelpAge International, Article 19, WARBE-DF, YWCA, Caritas Switzerland etc. He also works as the Adjunct Faculty with University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) under the department of Media Studies and Journalism.

Prior to joining BHW, He worked with The Hunger Project Bangladesh, and Transparency International Bangladesh. He has completed his Master's in Governance Studies (MGS) from the Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka.

Mr. Morshed Alam has 16 years of extensive experiences from different local and international organisations. Prior to joining in BHW, He worked with Bangladesh Freedom Foundation, UNDP Bangladesh, Development Research Network (D.Net) etc. He has completed his Master's in Governance Studies (MGS) from Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka.

Ms. Noushin Mouli Waresi has completed M.A in ELT (English Language Teaching) from the University of Dhaka. She worked in different print media in different positions for five years. Prior to joining Bangladesh Health Watch, she worked as Sr. Sub-Editor, Central Desk, and In-Charge of International Business Desk at The Business Post.

Mohammad Abu Toyab completed his graduation from the University of Chittagong in Public Administration. Have a PGD in Human Resource Management and Supply Chain Management from the Bangladesh Institute of Management and 8 Years of experience working at East Delta University, SND and Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK). Being optimistic and good at adaptation to new areas of work is one of the key components of MA Toyab. Instead of waiting for things to happen, he prefers to make things happen. Understanding his role and responsibilities and making himself accountable makes him a good team player.
