In 2019, BHW decided to develop a strategy to revisit its objectives and define its vision, mission objectives and strategies for achieving those in the context of the current health scenario. Its Strategic Plan 2022-26 was prepared through a process of extensive and detailed consultation with relevant stakeholders. In the plan, BHW's Vision, Mission, and Core Values were rearticulated. The strategic issues, objectives, directions, and major activities were identified for both organisational and programmatic aspects. The Strategic Plan is a living document. A Strategic Planning Implementation Committee was formed to track the progress of the plan time to time.

In BHW's Strategic Plan, the major activities are focused on:

• Create/facilitate creation of evidence
• Disseminate new knowledge/information
• Engage with stakeholders for policy change
• Facilitate optimal use of technology to disseminate information and generate debate
