A planning meeting was held at the SOLIDARITY Tower, in Kurigram, on 20 February 2022 to improve the quality of local health services. The meeting was jointly organized by District Health Rights Forum and SOLIDARITY in collaboration with Bangladesh Health Watch.

The 'District Health Rights Forum' comprising of eminent persons of Kurigram district is playing a catalytic role in improving the quality of health services of the people by conducting various programs. The workshop aimed to identify the problems in the areas of healthcare in Kurigram district and prioritized the issues to be advocated for the year 2022.

The following priorities have been identified through the workshop which the District Health Rights Forum will take various initiatives to address by 2022.

• Arranging PCR Lab, NICU, ICU in District Hospital
• Ensuring improved sanitation and hygiene in district hospitals, Upazila hospitals and community clinics.
• Improving the quality of service of community clinics, ensuring an adequate supply of medicines
• Ensuring primary health care in Upazila Hospital
