Barguna District Health Rights Forum-DHRF organized a Capacity Development Training on 21st September, 2022 at JAGO NARI Training & Research Centre (Patshala) with the participation of forum members from District and Union level. The objectives of this training were to generate interest and develop basic knowledge on overall health situation of the country and key health issues and enrich Health Rights Forum members with knowledge on public health structure especially on Primary and Secondary health service structure and local level advocacy approaches and techniques and to capacitate civil society and volunteers’ groups that will take advocacy initiatives independently in future.
The training session was started by the welcome speech of Shoheli Pervin Chobi, Vice President of Barguna DHRF. Md.Omar Faruque (Training Officer, Health watch) and Morshed Alam (Program Manager, Health watch) also gave their brief speech about this Training Session. Major training topics include Basic information of health and health sector, Role of the civil society in improving health equity, Key achievement in health sector in Bangladesh, Health structure and it's function, and advocacy in health sector and steps of advocacy. The training was facilitated by BHW consultant Md. Omar Faruque.
