Launching meeting of Barguna District Health Rights Forum (DHRF) was held on Tuesday, 14 September, 2021 at A. Latif Master Auditorium, Municipal building, Barguna. It was an inauguration meeting of DHRF with the district administration, top health officials, local government representatives, journalists and other eminent citizens of Barguna districts. Earlier, the new District Health Rights Forum was formed with an aim to ensure the availability of government health services to the citizens of this coastal region.

Caretaker of Barguna General Hospital Dr. Sohrab Uddin Khan attended the meeting as Chief Guest while Acting Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdus Salam; Medical Officer Dr. Bhupen Chanda Mandal were the special guests. The meeting was chaired by the Forum President Mr. Hasanur Rahman.

Freedom fighter Mr. Sukhranjan Shil, Mr. Monir Hossain Kamal, Mr. Mushfiqur Arif, Mr. Hedayet Ullah, the forum Secretary Ms. Hosne Ara Hasi and Bangladesh Health Watch representative Mr. Shashanka Baran Roy took part in the meeting.
