The intricacies of a country's health system reflect its commitment to addressing the diverse determinants of health and ensuring the availability, accessibility, affordability, and acceptability of essential services. In line with this aspiration, the government of Bangladesh has strived to provide basic medical necessities and uplift public health. However, the nation's health landscape stands as a complex mosaic, encompassing both the public and private sectors, which present challenges related to equity, quality, and responsiveness. The trajectory towards universal health coverage (UHC) by 2030 demands a paradigm shift in health system dynamics. This necessitates a grassroots approach, exemplified by Bangladesh Health Watch's (BHW) endeavor to amplify citizens' voices through Regional Chapters (RCs) in underserved areas, fostered by a multistakeholder coalition. Building upon the findings of Phase-I, this executive summary delves into the transformative journey of BHW's Phase-II, aiming to galvanize sustainable participatory platforms and address earlier barriers to enhance health system responsiveness. This executive summary outlines Phase-II research, building on Phase-I findings. Objectives included assessing Phase-I's impact on capacity-building and multi-stakeholder meeting, reviewing Phase-I compliance, monitoring Phase-II activities, and generating evidence for sustainable forum development.
